Hike on April 23: Spring on Sunflower Hill

Join Sherrin on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 10 a.m. to explore what’s happening in the Kimberley Nature Park. Meet at the Campground entrance on St. Mary’s Lake Rd.

For about 2 hours, we will be looking for signs of spring in flora and fauna. We might see Mountain Bluebirds, Mourning Cloak Butterflies and sprouting plants like Spring Beauties.

Our route is up Sunflower hill, across the top, down Duck Pond Trail, and returning along Jimmy Russell Road. This is a moderate hike of approximately 4 km.

Interested folks and well-socialized dogs on leash are welcome. Bring water, snacks, and your curiosity. Dress for the weather.
